HDV CAMERA & SOUND STUDIO

Hands-on participant rotation in following duties:

 

Director, Director of Photography, Gaffer, Sound Recordist, Grip, Continuity 

 

Lighting methods for morning, evening, night, indoor and outdoor 

 

Actor blocking, choreography, camera movement and composition 

 

FINAL CUT STUDIO EDIT SUITE

Capture Assembly, Fine Cut, Sound Edit, Titles / Credits

Edit scenes and sequence them together 

How to create your show files and lay down picture and sound for editing

 

Introduction to Soundtrack Pro, Livetype, Motion, Additional Dialogue Recording 

15 hours of one-on-one instruction in post production
Unlimited usage of the edit suite for individual practice (subject to availability)
Fine Cut Review and Analysis
 

PROJECT PRODUCTION

High Definition Video Camera, Tripod and accessories

 Professional Light Kit with gels, scrims, clamps

Audio Recording Kit with microphones, mixer, full windshield system, DAT recorder for ambient sound

1 WEEKEND PER PRODUCTION

Sign out Factory equipment Friday (12:30 – 4:30 PM) and return Tuesday (12:30 – 4:30 PM)

 

GALA SCREENING

 As a final celebration, The Factory: Hamilton Media Arts Centre invites all participants

of this intensive project series to submit their completed show for the Gala Screening.
